From Blister Pack to Protective Outer Bag
The line adds a secondary pillow bag around the blister pack after the primary blister packaging process.
This gives the production line two packaging stages:
Inner Packaging — Blister
PVC/PVDC or other suitable forming material is heated and formed into cavities. Tablets or capsules are fed into the cavities, medicinal aluminum foil is sealed over the formed web, and the finished blister cards are punched and transferred.
Outer Packaging — Pillow Bag
The qualified blister cards are automatically conveyed to the pillow packing section, inserted into the packaging film, longitudinally sealed, cross-sealed and cut into individual outer bags.
After blister formation, the cards enter the outer-bag packaging section.
The pillow wrapper automatically performs:
Film unwinding → film forming → blister insertion → longitudinal sealing → transverse sealing → cutting → finished bag discharge
The outer bag can provide an additional barrier against dust, moisture and handling contamination, depending on the selected film structure.
